Our mission at LM Academy is to provide students of all levels with more than just dance classes, but a unique experience in which the student can grow both mentally and physically as a dancer. RAD BALLET
Ballet is like a sport, only harder
If you have a buddy young ballerina, want to continue your studies or fancy trying something you always wanted to, we offer RAD Ballet classes to all ages. Examinations are encouraged but are not mandatory.
ISTD MODERN
Stand Out
Whether you’re looking to learn new dance moves or hone in on your existing talent, this class is what you are looking for. We offer ISTD syllabus classes with the option to take examinations
ISTD TAP
Get On Your Feet
Many of our students enjoy a great tap class. It is one of the most challenging genres but also one of the most rewarding. If you fancy dusting off your old tap shoes and getting back into class we offer ISTD syllabus classes for all ages, with examinations available.
CDA CONTEMPORARY
Art isn't what you see but what others see
Many of our dancers love taking this class, as it gives them the opportunity to learn new movements and easily showcase their talent. Contemporary classes allow students to become expressive and creative whilst improving on their overall technique. LM Academy is the home of The Contemporary Dance Association and dancers are featured in the worldwide selling dvds.
ACROBATICS
Time to flip OUT
This class is a favourite among many of our students. Everyone loves the opportunity to try new and exciting things. Our amazing instructor makes sure everyone gets individual attention while keeping the class collaborative. Students are able to work on their own skills and tricks as well as learning to support and assist each other in breathtaking lifts and partner work. It is also great for building strength and working on flexibility.
COMMERCIAL/JAZZ
Show some Sass
These classes are great for showing your inner diva! If high kicks and big leaps are what you love then this class is what you are looking for. The instructors are committed to giving each student attention while also moving the class forward. Showmanship, style, and attack are just some of the attributes learnt in these classes
DANCE COMPETITIONS
Do it with passion or not at all
Want to be part of the LM competition team?Â
We attend 3/4 dance competitions a year, showcasing amazing choreography in all genres. You can participate in solos, duets, trios, quartets and groups. Dance competitions are a great way for students to develop great performance skills, enhance their confidence and most importantly work as a team. The LM competition has also performed in Greece and Disneyland Paris and in 2020 will be venturing to The Big Apple NYC.
SHOWS
Time to shine
At LM Academy we hold an a full school show every year. We showcase all the different genres we teach and students are able to perform on stage with a full theatre experience. Every show we deliver has a different theme and some students are able to show their own choreography as well as create their own lighting and staging effects.
